(FREE Class for Adults and Families) Learn to prepare for the coming season by relating what is happening in our natural world to what is happening in our bodies, minds and spirits so that we can learn how to care for ourselves with food, self-care and understanding. This class is designed with all the family in mind so that adults and kids can benefit from traditional Chinese medicine teachings. There will be tastings of seasonal nourishing foods. Start the fun at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center to enjoy the current art exhibit, followed by a creative art project with Linda.  See how art inspires our creativity and how food mirrors art, when you follow Lizi up to the Co-op's Cooking Classroom where you will do just that —by making something inspirationally delicious! FREE KIDS COOKING CLASS! FUN FOODS FROM AROUND THE WORLD – JAPANESE MISO SOUP

Seaweed, veggies, and warm aromatic soup is what the kids will be working with during this Japanese inspired class. Learn how to make dashi, the classic broth used as a base for Japanese soups and stews. We will learn how to roll those colorful sushi rolls filled with a variety of veggies.
