Deli and Café

The Brattleboro Food Co-op deli offers hundreds of eat-in or take-out options making it the largest deli in the Brattleboro / Windham county region with dishes made from scratch in our commissary kitchen on site. We have a friendly, experienced, and dedicated team of 30+ cooks, chefs, and deli staff to assist you with all your food needs. We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as catering. Vegan, vegetarian, meat, non-gmo, organic, and delicious comfort food are available, so everyone in your group will be well cared for! We have an indoor café with an outdoor patio that is perfect to share a meal with friends and family enjoying a view of Mount Wantastiquet.

Everyday Offerings

Daily hot buffet – Starting January 2022 the hot food is now open daily from 11 am – 6 pm! Our daily hot buffet is made fresh daily with rotating menu options for vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters and we always have veggies and soups too.

Coffee –  We brew up fresh coffee every day such Mocha Joe’s and Equal Exchange. Recently, we added a cold brew coffee option, Fogbuster by Pierce Bros, local and organic! We also offer made to order hot chais and hot chocolates.

Smoothies and juices – Our smoothies and organic juices are handmade, delicious and will accommodate any custom requests you have.

Hand-made sandwiches – From our locally made Bread Shed bread we create delicious sandwiches such as the famous Da Bombe packed with roast beef and bacon to the Happy Hippie with pesto, roasted red peppers and mozzarella.

Home-made and from scratch soups – Each week our deli makes stock from scratch so that we have the highest quality soups. In fact, we make over 700 gallons of our soup during the winter months. Vegan, vegetarian, and meat options always available.

Grab-and-go food options – Hundreds of rotating and hand-made prepared foods that range from tempeh salad to tuna salad and southwest steak to Korean spinach and slippery noodles. We always have locally prepared sushi and veggie egg rolls from Anon’s Thai Food and tons of bottled beverages.

Baked goods – Many of our baked goods are made fresh daily including vegan carrot cake, scones, muffins, and cookies with vegan and gluten-free options available.

Brick-oven pizza – Our brick oven pizzas are hand made and the crust is 98% local to Vermont, and many of the sauces on the pizzas are made from scratch in our kitchen.

Sliced Deli meats and cheeses – From in-house smoked Stonewood Farm turkey breasts to Cabot cheddar cheese slices we have all your sandwich needs.

Rotisserie chickens – Humanely raised and free of antibiotics and hormones these 3-pound birds are roasted fresh daily!

Fish Friday – Every Friday we hand bread wild-caught pollock and hand-cut steak fries and fry them up with house-made tartar sauce.
