Join a different teacher each week on Zoom for a free yoga class, every Wednesday at noon. We’re happy to offer this service to the public until it becomes safe to resume our in-person classes in our Community Room - space in a virtual classroom is limitless! At each meeting, we evaluate three things: the work of the General Manager, our own work, and the health of the BFC. DIY Lip Balm and Salve Class

It is straightforward to make your own lip balm and salve from high-quality ingredients available right in the Brattleboro Food Coop. Herbalist Susan Stanton of the Wellness Department and Rambunctious Botanicals will guide up to ten students in making comfrey and calendula-infused lip balm and salve. These fuss-free recipes make great gift ideas. They keep your skin comfortable year-round while avoiding the cost, plastic waste, and additives associated with many commercial lotions. Kara Peters started Ahlbin’s in her kitchen, making organic Fire Cider for her family with ingredients from her own garden. She’s taken her fine-tuned recipe and is now producing it on a large scale for our community. The name “Ahlbin’s” carries on the name of Kara’s Swedish ancestors.  Ahlbin’s is passionate about supporting our local farms, and sources raw apple cider vinegar, raw honey, onion, garlic, ginger, and turmeric from farms local to Greenfield, MA.

DIY Heal Your Skin Cream Class

Make It Snow in the Co-op!

Brattleboro Food Co-op Community Room 7 Canal Street, Brattleboro, VT

Join us for a group volunteer opportunity! Shareholders looking to earn work hours are invited to share their creativity by filling the co-op with handmade snowflakes. Let's get crafty and beautify our shared space as we usher in the winter season. Co-op staff members Pamela and Lisa will demonstrate basic paper folding and cutting techniques for achieving that classic six-pointed magic; the rest is up to you. After we finish crafting in the community room, cider and treats will be provided to keep up our strength as we deck the cafe windows with our handiwork. All attendees will earn 2 shareholder volunteer hours and 3 credits of fun. Free event! Register by December 9th.
