We are thrilled to invite your family to join us for a fun and interactive “Snack and a Story” workshop at the Brattleboro Food Coop! For this workshop, we are featuring beloved children’s author Laura Numeroff!  Participants are invited to listen to “If You Give a Dog a Donut” and make "apple donuts" to enjoy together afterward!  Each attending family will go home with the snack recipe of the day as well as fun ideas for more nutritious, delicious, and simple snacks to make after school, on the go, or any time they feel inspired to create in the kitchen!  All recipes can be adapted to meet food allergies, intolerances, and sensitivities. Try Before You Buy: FinAllie Ferments

Brattleboro Food Co-op 2 Main Street, Brattleboro, VT

On Saturday, November 19th from 11:30-2:30, Allie from FinAllie Ferments will be hosting a tasting of her kimchi and sauerkraut. An artist by training (glass blowing), Allie’s second act as a farmer and fermenter allows her to nurture her desire to heal, feed, and nurture her community. Allie honors traditional fermentation processes but maintains her own unique flavors. Each recipe begins as an experiment. Though inspired by the rich history of ferments from around the world, she honors the ingredients available in our bioregion. Everything is fermented in oak barrels and ceramic crocks, never in plastic, ensuring complex flavors. Stop by to meet Allie and taste her delicious ferments!

When I was living in my first apartment out of college, I fell in love with this delicious and original recipe, and I have made it for Thanksgiving nearly every year since. It is adaptable; it is wonderful cooked in a turkey, it also makes for a really lovely dish to share with your vegan guests if baked on its own, and golly the leftovers are tasty. Try Before You Buy: Holiday Sides from the BFC Deli

Brattleboro Food Co-op 2 Main Street, Brattleboro, VT

On Monday, November 21st from 11:30-1:30, BFC’s own Lisa will be hosting a tasting of Brattleboro Food Coop Deli’s Thanksgiving Sides. Samples of buttermilk mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, vegan nut loaf, vegan mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, green beans almondine, and vegan wild rice stuffing will be made available for this special tasting. Come try a smorgasbord of just-like homemade, super convenient holiday fare! All of these sides (and even holiday dinners) will be available starting the 21st in the Deli's Grab & Go.
