Sprouted Brown Rice

Ingredients

  • 4 cups short grain brown rice
  • water

Instructions

  1. Place brown rice in a bowl, and cover with at least 3 inches of water. Let sit for 12 hours.

  2. Drain rice. Let sit for 12 hours.

  3. Rinse rice, and drain again. Let sit for 12 hours. If desired, repeat one more time.

  4. Rice is ready when you can see a little beak on each grain of rice (each grain will be the shape of a penguin!)

  5. Freeze in a resealable bag until ready to use.

  6. Cook like pasta: boil a large pot of salted water. Add rice and allow to boil until tender. Drain and serve.
