Each month, Co-op employees nominate colleagues they want to honor, and a committee comes together to vote on a winner. Our staff have all been heroic over these last months, but we’d like to lift up these three gems in particular for standing out in a stellar crowd!

Staff Recognition for February 2020

Each month, Co-op employees nominate colleagues they want to honor, and a committee comes together to vote on a winner. This month Monica in the Front End was selected.  During the holiday season, a shopper checking out through her line was $4 short on her grocery bill.  Monica kindly opened her wallet and pulled out the money to pay for the remainder of that persons bill.  This was an example of exemplary customer service and we thank Monica for making someones holidays a bit more special.

She is being honored for her consistently outstanding customer service and a deep commitment to an amazing customer experience for every person she interacts with here at the Co-op.

September Staff Recognition

Each month, Co-op employees nominate colleagues they want to honor, and a committee comes together to vote on a winner. In September,  Jeff in Security won for his outstanding work.  In the words of his colleague: “Jeff is very responsive and on top of all security issues when they come up, and even when we don’t notice.  Thanks Jeff for your hard work and commitment to the safety of the Co-op!

As her colleagues stated: “Sam has been such as asset to our department. She is extremely flexible working in the kitchen and on the Deli line filling in/covering shifts. This is very much appreciated.”

As his colleague stated: “He has such a great demeanor, always goes above and beyond of what is asked of him and always has even keel about him. He’s great!”
