Free Kids Class! Summer in Vermont

On Tuesday, June 26, 3:30-5pm, kids will learn about all kinds of ingredients and practice making their own smoothies. The Vermont Harvest of the Month, mixed greens, will be added to this cool concoction. In the Brattleboro Food Co-op Cooking Classroom, Canal St. entrance.  This class is free for all, but you must register: 802-246-2821 or Shareholders@BrattleboroFoodCoop.coop

This event will take place entirely at the Brattleboro Food Co-op Community Room.  All participants will enjoy a fun art project as well as create something delicious to eat.  Tuesday, June 19th, 3:30-5:30pm, at the Brattleboro Food Co-op Cooking Classroom, 7 Canal St.  This class is free and open to everyone! Free Class 4 Kids – Fun Foods from Around the World: Vietnam

In this class we will use the Vermont Harvest of the Month: Cabbage, to make traditional Rice Paper Rolls. These veggie-filled packages are a popular street food in Vietnam and eaten by kids as a snack. We will learn about the culture and language of this wondrous Asian country as well.

Kids Teach Kids To Cook

Join us for our new kid’s series, “Kids Teach Kids to Cook.” Each month a child volunteers to teach their friends and peers how to make a favorite recipe or dish. January features 4th grader Cara F., who loves steak and mashed potatoes. She will teach the class her favorite way of enjoying these when eating at home with her mom, Elizabeth.
