Join Brattleboro Food Co-op Education and Outreach Coordinator Ragan and her daughter Luna as they host the annual Teddy Bear Tea virtually in honor of Month of the young Child! We will read a book, share some songs, and enjoy a variety of delicious teas and macaroons together with our favorite cuddly toy or stuffed animal.
In this month’s edition of Fun with Food & Art, we’ll start the fun at the Brattleboro Co-op instead of the museum. BMAC’s Linda Whelihan and the Co-op’s Lizi Rosenberg will have everything you’ll need to make some presents using your creativity and some awesome art supplies and ingredients! Come join the fun 🙂

Kale chips, Kale salad are so passé! Come and learn how to include this powerhouse green in your weekly taco dinner. Kids will explore Lebanese food and culture, and everyone will prepare and season their own bowl of hearty lentil soup and bring some home to share with others. With an abundance of colorful berries and fruits, the kids in this class will make delicious fillings for hand pies. Hand pies are made from pie crust (which the kids will roll out and cut for their pies) folded over the pie’s filling, much like a turnover. Each child can expect to make two pies.
Seaweed, veggies, and warm aromatic soup is what the kids will be working with during this Japanese inspired class. Learn how to make dashi, the classic broth used as a base for Japanese soups and stews.

At the request of Co-op kids everywhere… here is a pizza-making class just for fun! Join Lizi to make pizza dough from scratch and top it with flavors inspired by the season: roasted pumpkin, spices and cheese.
